The Branch campus is located in Daly City and it occupies a 10,000 square foot site near San Francisco, close to BART and SAM-TRAN. American Business College – Vietnam started operation in 1998 in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and occupies a four story building site in Binh Thanh District of HCMC near the center of Ho Chi Minh City’ metropolitan area and is easily accessible from all points in the city. The campuses include modern office buildings, parking facilities, computer laboratories consisting of IBM personal computers. ABCi can accommodate 80-200 students in each of its sessions. Back to top Graduate Job Placement Services Job placement will begin when a student has completed at least 75% of the curriculum and 85% of the clock hours satisfactorily and has demonstrated the ability to perform duties normally assigned to an employee performing that specific job. During this period the student will be introduced to the following: Pre employment skill assessment tests, Job search strategies, Resume writing, Interviewing techniques, Mock job interviews, Contacts with prospective employers, Every effort will be made to place our graduates; however, ABCi cannot guarantee employment. Back to top Support Services ABCi’s Student services coordinator is available to advise students regarding academic, personal, and occupational matters. All students are provided assistance in the following areas: -
Absenteeism follow-up.In case of student absence, when not previously negotiated with the instructor, the Student services coordinator may do a follow-up by telephone. -
Student Advising. The instructors and administrative staff are available to advise students regarding absenteeism, academic and personal problems. In case of repeated problems, the school director will meet with the student. -
Student dropout follow-up.If a student has dropped out of the program, ABCi's support advisor will conduct a follow-up by telephone and, if necessary by a personal visit to try to persuade the student to continue his/her educational goals. -
Graduate Job Search. In the Career Development Class, the student will be introduced to: Job Application, Mock Interviews, Resume Writing * Interviewing Techniques, Job Search Strategies, Interviewing with employment agencies -
Alumni follow-up. Once the student has successfully completed the program, the support advisor will conduct a planned follow-up procedure of 7 to 90 days. Back to top |
