 Operation Policies


Office and Training Hours

  • The school maintains administrative office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

  • The training hours are from 8:00 – 1:00 PM, M-F and 5:30 – 10:30 M-Th.

Course Tuition 

ABCi offers a variety of programs to meet the individual needs. The tuition amounts range from $100 to $10,000 for different courses of study. ABCi offer participate in many different programs from federal funding programs such as (VA, WIA, EDD and State Rehabilitation agencies as well the following private funding programs).

SLM Financial and WSF Select Loans

These are private student loan programs that will offer students educational financing for their direct educational costs. This program offers a tiered loan program that gives the applicant multiple chances to gain approval. Borrowers with excellent credit will be provided with the most favorable terms and conditions, those with good or moderate credit offer slightly higher fees and rates. Co-borrowers are encouraged and will generally improve the loan terms and conditions. This loan is a variable interest rate that is tied to the prime lending rate. Drug Prevention

  • Use of alcoholic beverages, marijuana, or non-prescription drugs by ABCi staff or students while on ABCi premises is specifically prohibited. Students found violating this policy will be counseled individually and appropriate action taken. Staff members or students who violate this policy are subject to dismissal. Any student not complying with the school's procedures and policies may be terminated.

Grading Policy

To remain in good academic standing and to graduate, students must maintain a minimum attendance requirement of (70%), an overall grade of "C" (2.0) average and complete the requirements within 1 1/2 the time of the course length. A student may repeat a course only once. The higher grade of the two will be used in computing the GPA. Both the original and repeated course will be counted as credits. No student will be allowed more than one-restart during the calendar year.

  • The quality of achievement in a course is measured as follows: 4.0 - A - indicates outstanding achievement, 3.0 - B - indicates superior achievement, 2.0 - C - indicates satisfactory achievement, 1.0 - D - indicates unsatisfactory achievement 0.0 - F indicates failure.I - indicates incomplete. It converts to F if not made up prior to the completion of the course.

  • If a student withdraws from an individual class within the first week they will receive a withdraw (W). A grade of withdraws shows no earned credit.
    If the student has a grade average of less than “C” (2.0) and/or does not demonstrate the desire or continued ability to improve, the student will be warned and/or put on probation by the Administrative Director (see "Satisfactory Progress").

Standards To Measure Academic

  1. Any student who is 4 weeks behind in any course may be given a 30-day warning notice at the discretion of the school director to bring their assignments current in their course.

  2. Any student who does not have, (at the evaluation periods of ten weeks as a full time student, fifteen weeks as a part-time student) a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better may be placed on probation for a 30-day period. During this time they must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in all units attempted. During this time they must bring their cumulative GPA to 2.0, if they fail, they will then be dismissed from school.

Confidentiality and Access To Students Records

  • ABCi has both a legal and a moral obligation to protect student records from unauthorized access. Student files contain information, which is of a personal and sensitive nature so the staff has a special responsibility to ensure that only authorized individuals see this information. Student files are maintained in a locked file cabinet in the Administration Department for a period of 5 years. Requests for release of information by the student or from outside agencies must be made in writing. This ensures that only authorized individuals have access to the specific information requested.

Termination

  • If a student does not meet ABCi’s academic conduct, attendance and financial requirements as provided in the school catalog, they would be terminated.
